Frequently asked questions
Counselling is a space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental environment. It can help you make sense of challenges, develop coping strategies, and feel more in control of your life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationships, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide support tailored to your needs.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including:
· Anxiety and stress
· Depression and low mood
· Relationship challenges
· Self-esteem and confidence issues
· Trauma and past experiences
· Grief and loss
· Life transitions and changes
· Workplace stress and burnout
· And more...
Therapy can be helpful for anyone who feels they need support, clarity, or space to process their thoughts and emotions. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about something in your life, talking things through in therapy can help.
Your first session is about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to gain from it, and how I can best support you. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
The number of sessions varies from person to person. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others prefer longer-term therapy. We can discuss what feels right for you as we go along.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly, but this can be adjusted depending on what works best for you.
I offer both in-person sessions and online therapy via secure video calls. If you're unsure which is best for you, we can discuss the options and find what feels most comfortable.
Individual therapy: £50 per session
Payment is made via bank transfer.
If affordability is a concern, we can discuss options.
Yes, therapy is completely confidential, meaning everything we discuss stays between us. However, there are rare exceptions—such as if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm. I will always explain confidentiality in more detail when we start working together.
That’s completely okay! Therapy is a personal journey, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If at any point you feel that therapy isn’t meeting your needs, we can talk about what might be more helpful for you—whether that’s adjusting our approach or exploring other support options.
